With a 1-hour lesson you are ready to do your basic Carioca-style samba steps and body movements. That's all you need to have fun at the balls and shine when you march with a Samba School at the Sambodrome! With a little more time in your hands you can perfect your samba techniques and expand your horizons. Try a little Gafieira-style ballroom samba, and Forró, the dance beat of the Brazilian Northeast. Go on to salsa, tango, even belly dancing! Anna Moura's Dance Academy is conveniently located on Rua Visconde de Pirajá, in the heart of Ipanema. You may schedule individual lessons for R$100, or discounted lessons for couples for R$150. |
