Arpoador Inn is the only hotel in Rio on Arpoador
Beach, the scenic East corner of Ipanema
Beach. You are in a walking distance from the best Ipanema and
Copacabana have to offer (see map).
Since its opening in 1974, Arpoador Inn has established a
tradition of associating the top location to a friendly
atmosphere, and reasonable rates.
There are a little more than 50 rooms, distributed along 6
floors. All units are ensuite, and have front-desk controlled
air-conditioning.Standard
conveniences include a closet with safety box, a couple of twin
beds or a double bed, color TV with cable channels in English,
phone, and a small refrigerator.
A fold-out bed is provided in the
case of triple occupancy. The complimentary buffet breakfast is
served until 10:30 at restaurant Azul Marinho on the ground floor,
street level to the beach.The
restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner, with an accent on
Brazilian-style seafood.
Arpoador Inn has two façades. Deluxe rooms overlook the ocean,
with a view to Leblon, Ipanema and Arpoador
Beaches. Rua Francisco Bhering, the beach lane, is open for
residents and pedestrians only. Open your window at night, and go
to sleep to the gentle sound of surf breaking. Do not miss the
unforgettable sunset, either! Superior rooms are on the other side
of the building, facing Rua Francisco Otaviano. This is the street
leading to Copacabana, with a number of restaurants, boutiques,
surf shops, and an Internet cafe. Standard rooms are the most
reasonably priced alternative, and windows face the inside of the
building.
