THE COMPLETE EXPERIENCE FOR MUCH LESS!

Samba School Champions Parade in Rio

Arriving for the weekend right after Carnaval in Rio is a great way to enjoy the full experience at a lower price. The city is full of visitors from all over the world. Cariocas who leave town are back home. The mood is festive, and you have a chance to enjoy the complete combination. On Saturday there's the Champions' Parade at the Sambodrome. On Sunday there's Monobloco, a free street festivity that attracts over one million revelers to historical Centro. The party scene has enough attractions to keep everyone happy.

We are at the peak of summer and high season. The city is in a non-stop party mode. Hotel rates are lower, and planning ahead makes a lot of sense. While in town make some time to visit the attractions, enjoy the city lifestyle. Rio is a big city, try to stay at least four or five days to get the full picture. Include a healthy Carnaval sampler!

Bandas and Blocos take over big clubs with rehearsal parties featuring live percussion bands. The six best Samba Schools of the year take over the Sambodrome! Clubs invite the best Brazilian and international DJ's. Tickets to the Winners'Parade are half-priced, compared to the main event. Monobloco is free. Hotel rates are lower, and staying near the beach is affordable. If you miss out there's always next year...
