New Year's EVE in Rio

The most festive in the world

New Years Eve in Copacabana

New Year's Eve at Copacabana Beach is simply spectacular. The event attracts typically over two million people! Live music shows warm up to the firewors festival at midnight. The platforms are safely set in the ocean, and surrounded by a circle of luxury cruise ships.

We suggest arriving a few days ahead to enjoy a bit of the city. This is the peak of summer and high season. You want to do the sights, enjoy some time at the beach, cultural attractions, night life. There is so much to do and see you will be amazed.

Get your air tickets as soon as you can. They will book up. Once your dates are settled, we have great lodging suggestions in all price ranges and areas!

Carnaval in Rio DE JANEIRO

Rio Samba Parade - Baianas

We love Carnaval, this is an event that Cariocas celebrate from birth. The dates change every year, always from Saturday through Tuesday. These four days of revelry, at the peak of summer and school vacations, are the highest season in Rio.

Street festivities start two weeks ahead. The weekend ahead is also very busy. Blocos and bandas take over the streets while Samba Schools rehearse at the Sambadrome. The weekend following the official dates features the Champions Parade, and more street fun. Yes, we are talking about a whole month of Carnaval here.

If you can get your air tickets we will find you a wonderful place to stay - at the lowest rate available.

OFF-RIO and weekend GETAWAYS

From beach towns and islands to mountains

Beach of Geriba in Armacao de Buzios

The State of Rio is full of attractions. Places we know very well. The most famous beach town is Armação de Búzios, up north. You are near Arraial do Cabo and historical Cabo Frio.

Baia da Ilha Grande is paradise to divers, snorkelers, island hoppers... You may stay on the island, or at a resort hotel in Angra dos Reis. Paraty, also served by the same bay, preserves the city center since the colonial years.

The hills are alive! Petrópolis is where the Royal Family spent summers back in the day. Their palace is now a lovely museum, there are day tours from Rio. The Finnish flair of Penedo, or the inns by the river at Barão de Mauá are also worth your while.

Lots do do and see around here!

Florianopolis in Santa Catarina

Brazil is a country with continental dimensions, and once you are here you may be tempted to explore a bit more. If you are starting with Rio you have already made a very good decision. From here you options are endless.

Sao Paulo is our largest city, and cultural attractions galore. Iguassu Falls needs no introductions, it is simply a wonder of nature. And at the border with both Paraguay and Argentina. Buenos Aires is amazing and just a quick hop away.

The European charm of the South contrasts with vast expansions of Rain Forest in the Amazon. Or the Pantanal where you can see even more wildlife. Did we mention sunny Northeast?

View to Urca and Copacabana from the SugarloafWhen we started almost two decades ago, most hotels did not reserve rooms on the Internet. Travel agencies had to resort to catalogues, or expensive systems with few options and high rates. Being local, we had access to rates previously available only to the domestic market.

The service was an instant hit. We've helped travelers from all corners of the world, including fellow Brazilians. Now your bookings are processed directly by our partners in real time and in a secure manner.

You have access to special deals. In most cases to get a confirmation you only need to provide a credit card guarantee.
